U.S. inventory futures and main abroad markets rose Monday in quiet buying and selling, with American inventory and bond markets closed for Labor Day.

Futures on the S&P 500 ticked up 0.2%. The broad shares gauge on Friday closed out a second week of features, extending its rally to a sequence of report highs.
